to college in search of what they
want to do, and who spend a lot of
money not working toward anything
in particular. By the time these
students arrive at their career path
of choice and officially declare their
majors, many of them already have
significant student loan debt.
College can be a useful tool for
reaching your goals, but it can also
be an expensive way to find yourself.
If you don’t have a specific college
major that you think makes sense,
or if your interests lie outside of the
traditional university pathway, then
it is far better to acknowledge that
truth now rather than go to college
because it’s what everyone else is
doing and pay handsomely to do so.
Of course, the big question most
students have when they are
thinking about not following the
